Friends of Kailzie Wildlife Group (FKW) is a registered charity set up in 2010 by a group of wildlife loving individuals with the aim of promoting the fantastic wildlife of the Scottish Borders.
In 2011 FKW obtained funding through EU LEADER and Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) to run a project called KLAWED aimed at encouraging wildlife experiences though filming, photography, field craft, and public events.
The project is based at Kailzie Gardens near Peebles in the Scottish Borders, a site selected as a centre of excellence for wildlife in this area.
This blog follows the plight of the KLAWED Project Officer and the wildlife that they encounter. It also gives information about events and updates happening at Kailzie and the surrounding area.
The KLAWED Project Officer can be contacted at email@example.com and is eager to work with any school, community or private groups on wildlife and environmental related projects
